GLOWLINK focuses on mentoring girls and women, educating them to press
for progress in every endeavour of their lives, occupy their places in
life, and stay focused in the pursuit of their goals. From its
establishment to date, the organization has mentored
five thousand (5,000) girls and women, transforming
the lives of many people — including its own members.
2016
Mentorship Programme — Cape Coast
Organized a mentorship programme in the Central Region of Ghana to
educate one hundred (100) students on the importance of
self-identity and how to achieve excellent results.
Street Donations — Tema Station, Accra
Donated sanitary products and food items to head potters, and
invited specialists to encourage them to pursue their dreams
irrespective of gender, alongside education on sanitation.
2017
School Outreach — Ashanti Region
Visited Anglican Junior High School and Riverside Academy to
educate three hundred (300) girls on effective study habits and
overcoming low self-esteem, followed by donations of exercise
books, textbooks, and stationery.
2018
Back-to-School & Anti-Early-Marriage Campaign
Helped two thousand (2,000) girls return to school through
educational seminars, and held an empowerment outreach in the
Northern Region — including vocational training for one hundred
and fifty (150) parents of early-marriage victims to give them
financial independence.
Entrepreneurship Training — University of Cape Coast
Trained one thousand (1,000) widows, single mothers, and youths
with income-generating skills to reduce unemployment and social
vices.
Health Outreach — Nima, Accra
Educated the community on sanitation and hygienic living, and
screened over three hundred (300) women for hepatitis B, diabetes,
and breast cancer.
Orphanage & Prison Visits
Dined with one hundred (100) orphans at New Life Orphanage in
Nungua, and visited Ankaful Prison in Cape Coast to dine with the
prisoners and share the word of God (November 2018).
2019
Nsawam Prison Donation
Supported four hundred (400) prisoners with basic needs and
provided healthcare products for female inmates. GLOWLINK
continues to seek support from pharmaceutical companies and
individuals to supply needed medications to prisoners and other
less-privileged people.
2020
Virtual Empowerment During COVID-19
When the pandemic halted physical activities, GLOWLINK innovated
by moving programmes online — hosting virtual conferences with
globally invited speakers to help members and women overcome fear
and panic.
2021
Menstrual Education — Jakobu Community, Ashanti Region
Educated girls from ten (10) schools on the use of sanitary pads
and healthy menstrual practices, alongside a talk on the
importance of education (August 2021).
Elderly Care — Tabitha Aged Care Center, Afiama
Donated food items and toiletries to one hundred (100) aged men
and women and shared the word of God with them (November 2021).
2022
First Annual Conference
Held in January 2022 to empower women globally about their
potential — a great success with global speakers on board.
GLOBE4HER Summit
Held in May 2022 with speakers including Dr. Joyce Aryee, Mrs.
Comfort Ocran, Madam Catherine Krobo Edusie, and Ms. Valarie Waswa
(a Kenyan lawyer), educating girls and women on the importance of
making impact globally.
Mentorship & Menstrual Advocacy — Aseseeso
A mentorship programme with menstrual advocacy and donations at
Aseseeso in the Okere District, Eastern Region — educating girls,
parents, and the youth, including awareness on the dangers of drug
abuse rising in the community.
Accra Psychiatric Hospital Donation
Donation of sanitary items, foodstuffs, and toiletries to support
people with mental illness, with worship and prayers for their
recovery.
